Fresh Herbs and Spices

A Comprehensive List of Fresh Herbs and Spices to Turn a Good Recipe into a Great One

Having lots of fresh herbs and spices in your kitchen can really help your recipes. The key to spices is to buy little and often. Spices usually start to lose their flavour after about a year. I’m lucky enough to have a big Asian market near to where I live so I generally buy 50g of spice at a time. I find that if you use little glass storage jars they add beautiful colour to your kitchen. In fact I’m a little obsessed with buying jars of all shapes to spice up the decor of my kitchen. As well as looking beautiful they also act as a reminder to spice up your dishes. The list is endless of dishes that can be improved with just a sprinkle of the right spice to jazz up the flavour.
